Miya's High Fashion shoot

Hello every one and I know it's been quite sometime :) I am sharing something a bit different today, I don't really see any of these on shutterchance so I thought it will be a good idea to put this up.  Here are 3 shots from a high fashion shoot with Miya. This is probably my favorite type of studio photography - high fashion editorial type shoots. The main thing here is the lighting and wardrobes and you can just go wild and odd with your models expressions. These 3 shots were shot with 3 different light setups and light sources, so you may find some soft and some hard and contrasty. If you have any questions on how I Iit a particular shot then let me know and I will respond otherwise hope you enjoy the shots.

These are fun. I like the strong black and white, and the way you've got the sharp shadows/highlights on her face.
Dotun Ayodeji: Thanks Ellie.
It certainly must be fun to experiment in a studio setting. It is nice to see the variety of lighting effects; I think they all look very good, though my favorite is the one on the left because the light seems warmer and more natural.

I don't know what you did with your lights, but you should keep doing it if it yields shots like these!
You've often been very helpful with your tips to me Dee and I much appreciate it. The shot on the left is the type of image that I've been trying to produce but for what ever reason I just can't get right. This looks like a soft box from the left about 45° and close but high, no a spot instead of soft and maybe one from the front. Pure guess work here.

Looks fairly complex lighting, if you have the time I'd love to learn.

Surprise - the thumbnail showed only the middle pic - so now I get three for one click.

Excellent collage and lighting study. Sassy model.

Amazing shots, I like them all, lots to admire in each of them, curious to know if it is the same grey background in the central shot - just with a light on it?
I would not have a clue where to begin with fashion photography, but it is very interesting for me to see how different lighting set ups have such an impact on the results. Fascinating. (:o)
Nice one D...I need to visit this Lounge.

Ok D, I'm not sure about the first two. I love the last one. Mind you this comment is comment is coming from someone who is not got a clue on Fashion photography!

Hey Dotun, my girlfriend and I really like your pictures. What steps do you take in color processing and softening people?

You are so right. Something different, something nice. Like to pose and love what you did with the lights.
Questions: How would these pictures come out if you'd use more light to get rid of the shadows on her face and to get more light on her clothing? And did you use the gray background on the second picture also or did you PP it? And finaly...just how many lights did you use?
Keep m comin!
