Bridal Portait

A high key bridal portrait straight out of my website archives, only God knows when I will finally finish the website :) it's much harder than it seems really. Anyway enjoy my high key headshot, probably too highkey for some of you.

Nope. The shot rocks. You've kept the detail where it should be, balanced the lighting quite well and the composition is flattering to the model. If I only had stuff like this in my archives...
Dotun Ayodeji: Very hard to satisfy Stan, glad to know I scored good points with you today.

I will call this a Top Shot !!
Dotun Ayodeji: Thanks Bro.
Why is the hair in the top right side of the photo in focos and very sharp, and lower down which is closer the hair near the forehead is totally out of focus?
Dotun Ayodeji: I will explain, their is a difference between "out of focus" and "soft" right? and I am sure you know that. It is soft not OOF. My uttermost goal is to have my eyes in focus which I think I did. But i see what you mean, I should have extended the softness to the uppper hair or better still leave the details on the hair, so I just to need the reduce the opacity of the layer that appears soft around the hair...thanks good point.

I can see what Skee means but I don't think it matters, as a matter of fact for me I think that's what makes the shot work and I love high key for this.

J
Dotun Ayodeji: Thanks Johnny, I see what he means, I do need to reduce the softness opacity around the hair to get some more details...but as you know as long the eyes are in perfect focus then I am in love with that portrait.

Excellent. Some of us like the high keys.
Dotun Ayodeji: Thanks Louis.
A lovely portarit dotun
Dotun Ayodeji: Thanks Christian.
OK D, I'm going to be harsh. I don't think I like it.

First let me give you credit for the idea behind the shot. However I'm not too happy with your choice of crop. For me the focus is somewhat weaken but the presence of that dark space at the top left. Also I don't think the hair and the eyes are on the same level in terms of intensity, i.e. the eyes are so strong that the hair doesn't need to be in the shot, so crop it out.

Dude....let me talk like Suby and say...."Crop this shot again"
Dotun Ayodeji: true..other points well taken, as per the crop its a no no at least in Dotun's books smile

She is lovely and you did a fantastic job with this.
The eyes contrasting the skin definitely make the shot, but the comments on cropping have merit to make it a different shot imhowink
This shows off her eyes beautifully.

My advice is to contract it out if you can. I think it's the creativity that disallows you settle on a design and push it out.

Nice picture.
