kalima also happens to be the goddess of death in hindi...seems kind of appropriate for such an intense picture...
Dotun Ayodeji: Thanks Photosam, it was a concept inspired Roy Cox a very well known photographer in Baltimore.

Hmmm. Was there a special reason for this gesture, Dotun? It's got my curiosity!

In the meantime, it's brilliantly processed. Nor do I think it needs any different/more cropping than what you've already done.
Dotun Ayodeji: Thanks Ginnie, it was an idea inspired by a Roy Cox, a reknown photog in Baltimore. It is just another way of drawing your eyes to her eyes.
I like the piercing gaze, but what's up with the hands? For me they don't add much to the shot.
Dotun Ayodeji: Thanks Martin, without the hands you don't such a piercing gaze as you described it. When you do portfolio shoots you get tired of the same old portraits and this is something different. Check my archives for portraits without hands, I do them pretty well too. It's really all about thinking outside the box, but do I have the same shot without the hands, you bet I do.
Belly lice dotun.
Great shot !!
Very unique. I woulda said it was an alakija but nope its you. I wouldnt crop o, just cos the bracelet is lovely. Beautiful
Lovely shot. Love how the tip of her finger nails meet the dip in her upper lip.

Is she imitating some gesture you made when sizing the shot? Now she is looking at you through a window in this excellent shot.
Peek a boo.

Why has everyone neglected to say she is a beautiful girl, ehn, am a girl and no lesbian, but that's the first thing i noticed.
The combination of the hands and face is exquisite.
nice idea Dotun! and good b&w!
That's a terrific portrait, well focused on the high part of her face... that's really great Dotun ! I like it very much.
Interesting and creative composition. I think it's handled well here.
I liked the shape formed by her hands and how you framed it. beautiful
