This is the Jefferson Memorial in DC. As usual, I took a couple of shots this very night, some with tourist and some without. Shots with tourist are very easy to get but getting one without them could require lots patience. This was a 10sec exposure and it was the only free 10secs I could get after waiting for about 45mins.

nice shot, D. lucky to get it without anyone in the frame. but isn't this the Jefferson Memorial?
how'd you get the sky like that?
Dotun Ayodeji: Thanks Alex, I have taken too many memorials I am begining to mix 'em up you are right, this is the Jefferson Memorial and I will fix the title. Surprisinly, nothing was done to the sky in particular. I boosted saturation 2 stops in CS2, cloning and sharpened. I will say its about being in the right place at the timing and a result of long exposure, this was taken at the end of the cherry blossoms season.

I was wondering the same thing - about the sky. Nice photo.
Dotun Ayodeji: Thanks Kemi, nothing special was done. It was just one of those days that felt so good to be outside.
Nice work with the empty sky, it really miniaturizes the building. Even the trees look play doe like...I like the illusion effect! And of course, great capture!
That sky looks unhealthy, giving the shot a strange atmosphere. It certainly got my attention. Are these colors as shot, or did you play around with them? Either way, this must be one of the more unconventional shots of this memorial.
Dotun Ayodeji: Thanks Martin, I love your choice of words about the "unhealthy sky"...lol, what does a healthy sky look like? Just kidding, but the sky pictured was how nature presented it self, I thought it was heavenly especially if you were there that day. I will leave you a link below with the original and you will see no much difference in the skies.
Nicely photographed D, but the whole thing does look like a "setup", like a pic of a model pasted onto a sunset sky - I am not saying that it is, just that is how the photo appears. Kind regards, Neil.
Its uncanny. Didnt see any of the other comments before leaving mine. It's funny how the picture evokes an almost unilateral reaction. I think its a good shot though.
Took a look at the unadulterated version. So why would the sky have that colour. Never mind it provides strong contrasting material for the memorial's bright white. I also like how the clouds form a halo above the memorial. Great pic.
This is magnificent. The surreal look with the very dark sky and the very bright building is fantastic. because everything is exposed just right. Well done.
Everyone is saying the same thing I was gonna say--that this looks like it's part of a miniature model of Washington, D.C., Dotun. After your last post, it could actually go on top of a cake.
it certainly is an interesting colour cast in the sky dotun. what i like is the tilt shift effect the cloud has on the memorial which is as sharp as a pin. 45 minutes is a test of patience. well shot dotun and next time you don't want to wait that long take a hand gun and fire off a couple of blank shots in the air. you will probably get 5 mintes peace until the swat team shows up.
Dotun Ayodeji: I like your idea Nev, maybe next time
