photoblog image Charles De Gaulle airport I

Charles De Gaulle airport I

As we waited to board our connection flight from Paris to Nigeria I took this shot. This is the ceiling of one section of Charles De Gaulle airport. I will be posting another version tomorrow I will like to know your preference. NB: If you intend to take shots at this airport you have to remain inconspicous otherwise you will have some explanation to do when airport police comes for you :) *** Photorama's *** | Toplist

Dotun Ayodeji: Thanks Suby!
Hiya Dotun. Very nicely composed and photographed.I don,t know if anything can be done, but MAYBE the varying light between the two halves of the photo needs addressing. I would also love to see this with some kind of coloure treatment to give it a bit of a boost and lift it a degree or two in the image stakes. Still, good work. Many regards, Neil.
Dotun Ayodeji: Thanks Neil..the airport ceiling lighting varies by design
Oh lovely architecture!!!!!
Dotun Ayodeji: thanks Dami....as an architect I am not surprised u like it.
Nice compostition Dotun...and I agree with Nell that the filtering light could be played around with. ANd good you got away with taking pictures inside the airport smile!

You and I are on the same page today, Dotun, because my pic is of the Stuttgart airport from this past Monday. I was also at the Paris CDG airport that same day and probably passed under this same spot. By now it's become old hat but when I first stopped there 2 years ago, I took similar pics of the train station that you can see from the airport windows.

This ceiling, if flipped over, would look like the hull of a ship's skeleton!
Dotun Ayodeji: Great minds think alike smile I tried your flip idea and I like it even better thanks for the tip Ginnie.

A great post Dotun. Now I am waiting for the comparative.

I differ about the two sides - i get a dark side / light side feel from the effect. And it is OK for me.

On the colour recommendation i think something like the light green that they actually have in CDG (if i remember correctly) would be nice. But i guess it is something like that - a coloured version - that we will see tomorrow.
Dotun Ayodeji: You are absolutely right Loius, the airport lighthing does have 2 different shades, tomorrow's will definately reflect that.

Dotun Ayodeji: oh my God...how did you know that? I got my luggage 3 days after arrival it was such a nightmare. Thanks for visiting.
