Security

Lagos is very diversified. You see some houses with big security gates nad huge locks, and some with no gates at all. This evening I came across this house and this is what they used to secure their compound.

This is a very original shot. I like the lines in it. Nice job.

It's funny to see these things because it seems like it wouldn't really stop someone, but it still gives a sense of security.
Dotun Ayodeji: exactly...thanks PJ
It makes you wonder if it is a deterrent at all as opposed to something to keep the gate from swinging open! Believe it or not, I keep a padlock on our back shed at home but never totally lock it (so I don't have to carry the key with me). I figure that from a distance it looks locked and is deterrent enough. smile

Great shot, Dotun, of a way of life!
Dotun Ayodeji: Definately a way of life...thanks Ginnie.

This slide would be to keep the gate closed and the children and animals inside, yet easy to open when you come home late at night with a blurry vision smile

This is a nice picture with interesting lines and colours.

Not much point in having anything more than this, it keeps inside the fence inside and the outside outside ... if you know what I mean. Would need a bigger fence to keep out the ruffians. wink

Interesting, well taken and good lines. All told a nice pic. smile
Dotun Ayodeji: thanks Ellie..I am glad you like

there must be a gate... this is still some kinda protection.. when the crack (krrrr)of the gate comes alive when some1 opens it; ppl living in the compound would be alert.. it's still a gate, an alarm, a sign of protection.
