photoblog image Street Angel

Street Angel

This was taken Downtown Chicago during a brief vacation, I call him  "street angel".  Trus me when you see this guy on the streets he stands out so much you just want to go closer and see "who the heck this is "  The license above his right shoe is hilarious, I didnt know you had to be licensed to do this!!!

hello D, a bit of background blur might improve this lovely capture.
Dotun Ayodeji: Thanks Atunbi, I really wanted the streets of Chicago to be visible, and I believe a blur will not work here.

Entertaining pic, and very well presented. Is that a busking licence pinned to the bottom of his robe?
Dotun Ayodeji: Yup his licence, Thanks Ray!

good shot - it must surprise the hell out of everyone who bumps into him unexpectedly!!
Dotun Ayodeji: Yup, he's bluish white attire really makes him obvious.

My guess is he's a street performer. I would normally see something like this and say to myself "only in NY, but apparently it's not unique to NY. Nice find although he's not a totally convincing angel.
Dotun Ayodeji: Very true, NY has so much of such. Thanks Laurie.
Hi dotun. This is a very good capture, nice bit of humour. Have to agree with Atunbi about the bg, but obviously, the choice is yours. Regards, Neil.
Dotun Ayodeji: Thanks Neil, I took 3 pics of this same pose with 3 diffrent appertures at 5.6 and 4.0 and while the produced Bg blurr is nice, it does not give you a glipse of what the chicago streets really look like. This one just feels like I or any viewer could imagine standing right next to him on the streets. But I wish I had more space above his head to depict height, shame me!

I'm a bit lost for words too! What a way to make a living, but it's a great shot smile
Dotun Ayodeji: Thanks Ellie, it was a sunny day, I wonder if he does this when it gets colder.
