photoblog image faces of the monument #2

faces of the monument #2

This is my second in this series. For some reason I tend to post my favorite images on mondays, I think that gives my week a good jump start.  Unlike the last monument picture, I was literally  laying flat on the grass to take this one. A cop actually stopped by to make sure I was ok.

Post processing done includes desaturation and USM in PS.

very nice picture dotun but there is a slight blur (movement) Old school way of sturdy tripod/putting the camera on timer when ready to take the photo should eliminate this.
Dotun Ayodeji: Atunbi thanks for the critique. BTW,It was shot on a tripod, It was getting too cold, I really didn't have the patience to the self timer thing smile
Hi smile A wonderful picture, this is an amazing view and very well composed with lights and dark - Bravo Dotun !!
Dotun Ayodeji: Thanks Zebigleb.

Nice shot dotun, I think this picture is Quality, even with the blur, it gives it an early morning mist feel.
Dotun Ayodeji: Thanks Tinuke!

That's one of the best shots of the monument that I've seen, well done and I hope next time you don't catch frost bite.

Beautifil light. Thanks for visiting my photoblog.
Dotun Ayodeji: Thank you...u are always welcome.
Hi there Dotun. I have mixed feelings about this pic. I like the subject, the composition, light and contrast. I don't like the blur/unsharp focus. I have a feeling you should have gone with a smaller aperture and kept the exposure the same. However, I can't be really sure about that. I think that I may have gone that route myself. Regards, Neil.
Dotun Ayodeji: I will definately try that..thanks Neil.

more dramatic if taken at early hours of the morning
Dotun Ayodeji: Thanks Abi!
This is a beautiful image concentrating on the contrasts within. Nice one Dotun. The only other Dotun I know works for BBC radio for the Five Live station, as a late night presenter! Now I know 2! A pleasant evening to you.
Dotun Ayodeji: lol..thanks for the visit.
Nice shot but I prefer you previous effort, that was truly stunning.
Dotun Ayodeji: Thanks Alistair! I do too.

I actually like the blurryness of the picture. Kinda looks like a power light source... nice shot
