Another one from Grace's shoot, the goal for this one is quite obvious - to make old school Maryln Monroe type look with a washed BW look while still retaining as much detail in the eyes and lips. PS I am looking to move blogs to a more personalized blog pretty soon but I will post here from time to time. Shutterchance played a very important role in the development of my photography but I think it is time to move on to something where my family, friends, clients can comment freely and also something I can post multiple pictures at the same time. This is not a farewell to shutterchance but just to let you know what's going on in the background. Hope you enjoy the shot.

Thanks to everyone who viewed or left a comment on Nolan's "in your closet" shot, I hope to find time to respond. Nolan is now getting bigger and he actually smiles back if you wink at him, no words can actually express the joy they bring. My blogging has just been bad lately due to work, combining Studio photography and the wedding photograpy is just so much work but I am hanging in there. Here is shot from a recent wedding that I was honored to shoot. I really had fun shooting Suliat and Bolaji's wedding in Baltimore, the wedding was like from 8am till 12midnight...oouch. Without second guessing this is Suiat's shoes, I seem to have a thing for brides shoes and this one was just exceptional.

Hello every one and I know it's been quite sometime :) I am sharing something a bit different today, I don't really see any of these on shutterchance so I thought it will be a good idea to put this up. Here are 3 shots from a high fashion shoot with Miya. This is probably my favorite type of studio photography - high fashion editorial type shoots. The main thing here is the lighting and wardrobes and you can just go wild and odd with your models expressions. These 3 shots were shot with 3 different light setups and light sources, so you may find some soft and some hard and contrasty. If you have any questions on how I Iit a particular shot then let me know and I will respond otherwise hope you enjoy the shots.

Chloe stopped by at the lounge for a shoot and here is one of our shots. How this was shot : From the Ikea store, I got a pair of window coverings. She is laying on one and the other she used to cover herself just enough to cover up her sleeveless top. This was shot with my main light right above her, slightly tilted and as close as possible for softness(remember the closer your light source to your subject the softer). The main light here was a beauty dish, I could have used a softbox here but I needed the spread of light that the beauty dish gives. My main light metered at 5.6. Coming from her upper right is one light with a 20 degree grid as my hair light metered at 4.0 and the rest is snap snap snap.

Ok everyone I confess, we are 4 weeks to the due date and it's a kicking baby boy! Maybe this is one of the reasons why I have been so busy lately. But on a more serious note I will be a father in a couple of weeks, so I thought I'd share my pretty wife's 8-month maternity pics, she is such a georgeous maternity model. Have a nice one.

I hope you had a nice weekend, here is a shot from my newpaper shoot last weekend. Model is Norma and makeup by Temmy from Divine Touch Artistry. Dotun's Photo Lounge finally moved from my basement to a commercial space so I have more room to make some more shots similar to this. The space is also opened up for other proffesional photographers who wish to rent. Ok enough of the promo, I hope you like the shot :) How the shot was made 1. I put newspaper down on a brown seamless backdrop that the model will usually stand on. 2. The model is wearing a swimwear underneath, so I had the makeup artist dress her up in newspaper attached to the swimwear. 3. Set my softbox keylight above her @f8 and an umbrella fill close to her hair for some hair light. The hair light power was set just to give her hair some details but not too much becuause I wanted to maintain some shadows there as well. 4. And snap, snap from an elevated angle.

hello everyone, I hope you had a nice weekend. First, I will like to address a racial comment left on my previous shot by some "John" who claims to be from UK somewhere. If you are reading this I will advice you keep your racial comments to yourself and it is apparent that you don't know my subjects too well. Next time be bold enough to leave your email address for a reply. Anyways back to this shot, meet model Joanna. This was a shoot we did in DC last weekend in the freezing cold. I like this shot because it looked like my camera was going to save her from this huge monster.

I know I've been gone for quite a while and will be posting maybe once a week due to my busy schedule. Here is Zoey who came to the photo lounge for a shoot, she is one of the few babies I've worked with that gave me her 95% attention. I had so many good shots that I just could not resist putting this together.
